Maryna Petrivna Sochenko. The Ukrainian artist works in the field of painting and graphics. She was born on December 22, 1963 in the city of Kyiv. In 1989, she graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute (now the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture). Professional teachers - Yuriy Yatchenko, Oleksandr Lopukhov. The main works: "Wedding Cake" (1989), "Goose Paradise" (1990), "Baba Odarka" (1993), triptych "The world is clear, the world is quiet" (1997), "Autumn gift" (2000). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 1992. In 2017, he was awarded the title "Honored Artist of Ukraine". Painting teacher at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture. Active participant of the "Maidan of Dignity" in 2013-2014. Since 2013, she has created more than 80 portraits and thematic works of participants of the "Maidan of Dignity" and defenders of Ukraine. Sochenko M.P. creates thematic paintings, landscapes, portraits, still lifes in the tradition of realistic Ukrainian painting of the second half of the 20th century. The creative manner is characterized by flawless technique, a colorful variety of the palette, and a philosophical understanding of existence. The artist reveals the interrelationship of generations, and the dominant theme of the genres is the image of Ukraine, filled with the spirit of eternity, the immortality of its people. Maryna Petrivna's works of art were exhibited at many all-Ukrainian art exhibitions in the Central Artist's House of the NSHU. She took part in the historical biennale "Ukraine from Tripillia to the present in the images of Ukrainian artists" with her thematic works many times. Personal exhibitions of the artist took place in Kyiv, Chernihiv Oblast, Poltava Oblast, and Rivne Oblast. Works of Sochenko M.P. are in private collections in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Moldova.
